Larry joined OptiFour Integrated Wealth Management in May 2007 as Director of Investments & Financial Planning. In this role, he provides leadership in all aspects of the organization’s financial and investment analyses, including financial plans, investment policy statements, investment research, and manager selection and monitoring. Originally from New York, he received an undergraduate degree in Economics and Business from SUNY Albany in 1989. After working for a year, he was admitted to graduate school at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA, where he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1992.
Larry began his career in the financial services industry in 1992 as a Registered Representative and for Equitable Life in White Plains, NY. He soon moved to a more analytically focused role as Statistician for The No-Load Fund Investor, an investment newsletter published by no-load fund guru Sheldon Jacobs, in Irvington, NY. In 2000, he left New York and moved his family to the mid-west to work as Investment Research Manager for Nationwide Financial in Columbus, OH In 2005, he relocated back to the East Coast to work first for Merrill Lynch’s .Private Bank and Investments Group in Washington, DC and then as Director of Planning and Investments for Strategic Financial Associates, LLC in Bethesda MD before coming to OptiFour in 2007.
In 2002, he completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Professional Education Program and passed the comprehensive exam. Over the years, he has contributed to and been quoted in numerous articles on financial planning and investment related topics in well-known publications including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Investment News, US News & World Report, Forbes, and others. He and his wife Maura enjoy living in Germantown, MD, where he is an avid fisherman, weightlifter, and sports car enthusiast.
